My sister in law bought our Welshie a “seasonally-appropriate”outfit and judging by the look on her face I don’t know if she’s too impressed. I think it’s right up there with the human equivalent of ugly Christmas sweaters. When she saw me pull it out she ran away – I had to coax her out from under the sofa with a treat – works every time.
That’s the thing about dogs – they have no social filter. They are quick to offer their opinions unreservedly – whether it hurts your feelings or not. I have to admit she feels the same way about the lined, hooded pink “parka” I bought her for those walks in minus 20 degree temperatures.
Christmas will soon be upon us and our time will be spent trying to get everything done on our lists. Some events and people will disappoint us, others will bring tears of joy to our eyes. Take the time to slow down, savour those moments that will result in good memories and don’t forget the reason for the season.
I wish you a wonderful Christmas and pray that 2017 will be a year filled with good health, spirit, and dreams come true.
Johanne and Tessa, our Welshie
