If you own an older house and will be in Calgary on Saturday, February 22nd, you may be interested in a free seminar that will be taking place at the Cliff Bungalow Mission Community Association at 2201 Cliff Street S.W. Organized by Halyna Skala Tartaryn of Sotheby Real Estate, the session promises to be worthwhile for anyone who has a heritage home and is considering restoring, decorating or renovating in the near future.
I am pleased to be one of the presenters and will be speaking about the importance of acknowledging your home’s “spirit” when planning your projects. Other topics include how to avoid renovation pitfalls, how to maximize your renovation dollar, and how to negotiate the design and permit process.
The seminar starts at 9:30 and will end at 11:30. It’s a great way to get some valuable information and an opportunity to meet and share your experiences with other old-house owners. I will have copies of my book “Historical Interiors of Alberta – A Guide to Restoring and Decorating your Heritage Home” for sale at a special seminar price.
This event is free, however pre-registration is required because seating is limited. For more information or to register, call 403) 240-2020 or go to OwnHeritage.com
I look forward to meeting you so please say hi!
