One of my favorite things to do during the Christmas season is to walk through our neighborhood and look at the lights that have been hung all over the trees, porches, and houses. It doesn’t matter how cold it is, the sight of the lights keeps me feeling warm. It’s my husband’s job to hang these lights up but occasionally I help him. We are still using the original (old) lights that belonged to my parents. The bulbs are not energy efficient but nothing else gives you the brilliant, bold color these old bulbs do.

I received an email from a lady who has written a blog entry on storing and taking care of strings of lights. I thought you might want to read it. I intend on printing it out and giving it to my husband as an ever-so-subtle hint…
