I just discovered a new magazine. It’s a Canadian magazine about Canadian Art, Architecture and Design. I found about it through an online conversation with one of the contributing writers, Lorie Lee Steiner, that I “met” through Linked In. It’s a wonderful magazine. Here is a quote from Brian Usher, the publisher and CEO of Arabella: “Arabella is truly about reading as art, experienced as a sumptuous, visual and inspiring journey”. I couldn’t agree more. I find myself pouring over the advertisements because, even they, are beautiful to look at. The magazine features the work of both traditional and more avant- guard artists and the articles about them are well written. Believe it or not the picture on the cover of this month’s issue is a painting by wildlife artist Edward Spera. The quality of the images throughout the 300 page magazine is excellent. It’s really more of a book. There are articles and photographs of historic interiors as well as newly designed homes and interiors. I found my copy at Chapters. Arabella has been around since 2008 and I, for one, am totally impressed with it. (not that you’d notice…). It costs $14.95 and is published four times a year. You can find them online too. Well worth the time to read it and the money it costs. Congratulations Arabella!
